For the palak puree:

Palak                                  -        2 bunch

Green chilli                        -        1

Garlic cloves                       -        1

Ginger                                 -        1 inch

For the palak curry:

Ghee                                   -        2 tsp

Bay leaf                               -        1

Cumin seeds                       -        1 tsp

Onion                                  -        1 finely copped

Tomato                                -        1 finely copped

Garlic cloves                        -        1 finely copped

Turmeric powder                  -        1tsp

Red chilli powder                 -        1 tsp

Garam masala powder          -        1 tsp

Paneer cubes                        -        10

Salt                                       -        to taste


Cooking cream                     -        option


Boil water and add bunch of palak leaves separating stems.

Once the palak changes its colour immediately add the palak leaves containing cold water.

Now make a puree of palak adding ginger, garlic and green chilli keep the spinach puree aside.

Heat oil/ghee i used ghee in a pan.


Add the cumin seeds and bay leaf.

Now add the finely chopped onions and garlic.

Add the finely chopped tomatoes.

Now add the palak pure and stir well add water as required adjusting the consistency.

Now add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Simmer for 5 minutes. Palak has to cook and thicken.

Stir well and add fried paneer cubes.

Then add garam masala powder cook for a minute.

Now add cream your option or a few drops of lemon juice before serving palak now ready to serve.
